The notification stated: "The Central Government hereby specifies a token which qualifies to be a virtual digital asset as a non-fungible token within the meaning of sub-clause (a) of clause (47A) of section 2 of the Act; provided, however, that such non-fungible token shall not include a non-fungible token whose transfer results in the transfer of ownership of the underlying tangible asset and the transfer of ownership of such underlying tangible asset is legally enforceable.
On the business front, OpenSea, the well-known NFT market, has experienced yet another data breach. This time, according to the business, a representative of its email provider, Customer.io, allegedly collected and distributed email addresses connected to OpenSea accounts.
In a tweet, the business stated that subscribers to its newsletters and emails submitted to the market by users were also impacted. Customers were urged to practise safe email habits and to only reply to emails from their official domain because there was a high likelihood of email phishing attempts now that the addresses had been published online (opensea.io).
