Bentley introduces the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase, which costs Rs 6 crore

On January 20, Bentley Motors Limited announced the launch of the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase (EWB) in India with their official partner, Exclusive Motors. The new ultra-luxurious Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) model is priced at Rs 6 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi), subject to exchange rate fluctuations, customization, and government taxes.

The Bentley Bentayga EWB, like other Bentley models, will be imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) from the British super luxury carmaker's Crewe, United Kingdom, and almost 20 units will be delivered this year.

"The new Bentayga Extended Wheelbase is the next chapter in the Bentayga saga," Satya Bagla, Managing Director, Exclusive Motors, said of the debut. The rear-cabin sensation in this new SUV is comparable to that of the famous Mulsanne. "While we have begun taking orders, our customers will receive the vehicle in 8-9 months once they book the model," he added.

The Bentley Bentayga is a super luxury crossover SUV manufactured by Bentley Motors since late 2015, with the EWB variant being 180 mm longer than the ordinary version. It is driven by a V8 twin-turbo 4.0-litre engine that generates 542 bhp and 770Nm of torque. The engine is estimated to be capable of reaching 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and reaching a top speed of 290 km/h when linked to an eight-speed automated transmission.

Meanwhile, Exclusive Motors noted that with the inclusion of the new model, it intends to increase sales by at least 40% in the current year compared to 2022. It has retail locations in three cities: Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, from which it serves consumers.

"We sold 40 units last year and we expect to sell around 60 units throughout the country this year," Bagla said on the sidelines of the launch.
