According to the company's annual report, FMCG giant Dabur India Ltd. boasts four brands with annual sales of $1 billion or more. Over Rs 500 crore in sales are generated by its two brands, Dabur Honey and Dabur Chyawanprash.
Dabur India stated in its annual report that at the conclusion of the fiscal year 2021–22, "we have 12 brands above Rs 100 crore in size, two brands over Rs 500 crore in size, and another four brands that have a turnover beyond Rs 1,000 crore."
By the conclusion of this fiscal year (FY22), two additional brands, Meswak and Real Drinks, will enter the exclusive Billion Rupee Turnover Club (Rs 100 crore). Dabur India's operating revenue for the fiscal year that ended on March 31, 2022, was Rs 10,889 crore, representing the best yearly revenue rise in the previous eight years.
Speaking to the shareholders, Dabur India Vice Chairman Mohit Burman stated, "Our consolidated revenue crossed Rs 10,000 crore mark for the first time with an annual growth of 13.9 percent." Dabur, like other FMCG companies, saw India's high rate of retail price inflation and is actively observing the situation.
According to him, "with mounting inflationary pressure on key raw materials, which is expected to grow even more in the coming months, Dabur plans to monitor the situation closely and develop strategic ways to offset the increase in the price of raw materials through our synergies and cost efficiencies." Dabur's approach to overcoming the difficulties caused by high input costs in these unique conditions is cost control efforts followed by price actions.
He continued, "We are pleased to have made good progress along this journey, with our home and personal care division continuing to contribute the greatest to our revenue pool. Dabur stated that growing its rural reach will continue to be a strategic focus in the upcoming years in relation to sales network expansion.
By expanding its rural footprint and investing in its power brands, Dabur will keep up its consistent efforts to increase demand for our goods, according to Burman. He said, "Our rural outreach extends throughout a network of almost 90,000 communities, of which 30,000 villages have been added in the past year.
Dabur has also been successful in extending its market reach across a number of economies by building a strong ecosystem of supply chains. In the personal care market, some of its hair care products have achieved top rankings in nations including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates.
Dabur made Rs 2,806 crore from the international market in FY22.
