As part of a multiyear promise to aid Palestinian healthcare, US President Joe Biden on Friday donated an additional $100 million to support hospitals in East Jerusalem.
Prior to meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and wrapping off the first phase of his Middle East trip before departing for Saudi Arabia, Biden made the commitment at the Augusta Victoria Hospital in East Jerusalem.
He stated, "Today, I'm happy to announce the United States is investing an additional $100 million to help these hospitals, your staffs that work for the Palestinian people.
