Between September 21 and 23, Tamil Nadu will host Umagine, a huge technology and innovation event. According to a government news release, it would highlight and improve Tamil Nadu's technology sector.
The annual summit will bring together major actors in the technology ecosystem from across the world, including entrepreneurs, investors, academics, and policymakers.
Umagine will serve as a platform for the community of tech-driven businesses to thrive both within and outside of the state, in line with the objective of becoming the world's Knowledge Capital. It envisions an environment that will make Tamil Nadu a preferred location for both global and young IT businesses looking to develop future technologies.
On the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, the Umagine community is reaching out to global CEOs at the Umagine Lounge.
The founders of eight Chennai-based software enterprises are at Davos to promote the Tamil Nadu tech sector. Mind & Mom, Impactree, Kandee Factory, Mage, Twixor, Aquaconnect, Veehive, and Raptee Energy are among them, according to the press release.
Umagine is actively engaging with worldwide organisations and bringing together specialists to assist its community of tech-driven businesses in developing a scalable business plan and exposing them to a global community of investors and customers.
ClimateTech, healthtech, Edtech, Agritech, Web 3.0 and Deep Tech, smart infrastructure, smart and green manufacturing, Biotech, platforms and Gig economy, creative industries, and social entrepreneurships will all be discussed during the event, according to the press release.
