Jio launches True 5G in Uttarakhand, providing consumers with limitless bandwidth at no additional cost

On January 11, Reliance Jio announced the introduction of True 5G services in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. With its introduction, Jio has become the state's first and only operator to offer 5G services to users.

Starting January 11, 2023, Jio users in Dehradun will be invited under the Welcome Offer to enjoy unlimited data at speeds of up to 1 Gbps+ at no extra cost.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami remarked of the debut of Jio 5G services in Uttarakhand, "This launch is a crucial milestone for Uttarakhand and its people, who will benefit enormously from 5G services."

According to a Jio spokeswoman, "Jio True 5G would be a genuine game changer for Uttarakhand, ushering in a wealth of options and richer experiences for the inhabitants of the state as well as Uttarakhand tourists."

In addition to its present Rs 4,950 crore investment, Jio would invest more than Rs 650 crore in Uttarakhand's standalone 5G network.

With this launch, Jio has expanded its 5G services to 94 cities across India. On January 10, the business launched 5G services for a total of eight cities across various states. According to the telco, Jio 5G services will be available in every corner of the country by December 2023.
